Poczta Polska SA is one of the largest employers in Poland. The special nature of the company and the mission, which it performs, decides that social responsibility is directed to a very wide range of stakeholders.
Nearly 63,000 employees work in Poczta Polska who deliver over three million letters and shipments every day. With such a large scale of activity, the company's social significance, promoting ethical attitudes and professional shaping relations with clients, partners and employees are of great importance for the company's social environment.
In April 2022, we published our first social business responsibility report , in which it was presented, as the company is involved in the common good of employees, local communities and the environment. The report has 24 thematic cards, which describes the internal organization of our company and social activities undertaken by the past company. The document meets the criteria of the international GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), standard used for non -financial reporting of companies around the world.
In this report, we described a number of information related to the employment structure and salaries, supporting the social aspirations of employees, employing people with disabilities, mechanisms of counteracting mobbing and discrimination at work, and preventing corruption. The material also deals with cooperation with social partners, care for the natural environment and about active education and programs for strengthening national identity.
For over ten years, Poczta Polska has been developing the activities of the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation , which not only supports the company's employees. Educational, charity programs and activities related to state security best characterize the daily activities of this foundation.
"Postal gift" since the beginning of the war, behind our eastern border, supports Ukraine covered by the crisis. The collection of gifts, the purchase of the most necessary funds and the organization of transports with humanitarian aid are some of the many actions taken for refugees and their loved ones. Postcards were also involved in helping Ukraine, organizing friendly collections throughout Poland.
We were one of the first large organizations in Poland, which reacted to aggression towards Ukraine and quickly organized its employees and volunteers to help war refugees.
Poczta Polska promotes cooperation with Territorial Defense Forces (WOT) and encourages its employees to join the ranks of "territories". In May 2022, the company launched the program "side side by side with WOT" , which promotes patriotic attitudes among employees and creates attractive conditions for combining work with the service for defense and state security.
Polish Post, with a network of 7.5 thousand institutions, located all over Poland, is also in itself a system of a territorial network, enabling the combination of forces and cooperation with territorial defense forces to support and defend local communities. In addition, as an operator, a designated company implements, among others Opinions in the field of cooperation with the military field mail and participates in the mobilization development of the Polish Armed Forces.
Poczta Polska also launched a shooting science program addressed to the company's employees. It took only a few days so that in August 2022, as many as 1,000 post office would be enrolled in it.
