Every third point collection point is available to the inhabitants of small towns and villages
Poczta Polska offers the largest network of shipping points in the country, in which over 35% of points located in small cities and rural areas. By the end of 2022, the post office will provide another 5,000 points. Customers ordering goods in online stores are increasingly using this form of reception. Over 20% of packages are received at points, and in the future the importance of this form of delivery will significantly grow.
Poczta Polska systematically expands the network of shipping points, in accordance with the strategy adopted for 2021-2023, which assumes, among others expansion of subsequent areas of the country in the field of shipment delivery and increasing its share in the KEP market (courier, express, parcel). Bearing in mind the comfort and needs of customers living outside agglomerations who shop online - the company is interested in the systematic development of the network of shipping points, also in small towns and in rural areas.
- Consumers change their purchasing habits, more and more often and buy more online and expect the opportunity to conveniently pick up shipments close to home. This also applies to clients from smaller towns. Responding to their needs, Poczta Polska establishes cooperation with business partners, intensively working on the expansion of the largest network of shipping points in Poland, which currently goes every fifth package with online purchases - says Andrzej Bodziony, vice president of the Poczta Polska Poczta Board.
In the first half of this year, over 20% of parcels with online customer shopping purchases were received at pickup points. Postcards predict that next year the share of shipments received in points and packages will increase to 30%.
Currently, customers of Poczta Polska have at their disposal over 15,000 Shipping points, both within the largest own network in the country and partner networks: Żabka, Orlen, Ruch, Biedronka, ABC, Lewiatan and Delikatesy Center. By the end of 2022, this number will increase to 20 thousand.
35% of the entire collection of pickup points is located in small cities with a number of less than 20 thousand. residents (approx. 17%) and in rural areas (approx. 18%), of which the most include eurocash groups and shops (ABC, Lewiatan and Delikatesy Centrum).
It is worth noting that by the end of 2022, Poczta Polska will also provide another 2,000 parcel machines supplementing a wide network of shipping points. In this respect, the company is looking for attractive locations that can be reported via the form available here
To improve the service of customers receiving and sending parcels in over 700 post offices, there are fast truck windows with the designation "Paczk@ to point", in which customers can efficiently pick up the package as part of the option to pick up at a point and send a package (thanks to the ENVELO digital platform, the "electronic sender" system, or the "broadcast shipment" application). At the Paczka@ window, it is also possible to conveniently send shipments without the need to print an address sticker on your own or refund the wrong purchase.
