The Poczta Polska Foundation helps not only postcards

logoThe "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. During this time, she helped hundreds of people who needed support, focusing their activities on the sick, in a difficult life situation, talented children and young people. Nearly PLN 4 million was allocated to support. During the Coronavirus epidemic, the Foundation intensified its activities by supporting postcards and medics.

Poczta Polska could not take a break during the epidemic. Postmen, couriers, employees of postal facilities worked all the time so that the company could provide services and give people a feeling that life looks a bit like a pandemic. Employees received protective measures in the form of masks, gloves, disinfection fluids and special entities and increasing the safety of procedures. So far, few postalists have got Covid-19. The postal foundation, thanks to the financial support of the Poczta Polska Group, however, a special assistance fund for employees of the Poczta Polska Group and their families affected by Covid-19. For now, no person has applied for help, which undoubtedly means that postalists undergo the disease relatively gently.

Recently, postalists have been affected by other tragedies. A postman's house collapsed in Chodel since the gas explosion. A postal spouse and her father died under his rubble. The house had to be demolished. The "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation has created a special sub -account on which funds are collected to help a colleague and his family. As a result of a storm, which recently affected the Limanowski poviat, the home of a retired post employee was completely flooded. The storm also destroyed the buildings and the postal farm from Wrzydlna. Also in these cases donors help through the postal foundation.

- The "Postal Dar" Foundation has been helping postcards and their families for 10 years, and in the face of the epidemic it has expanded their activities to help medics. This is extremely important for our eighty -thousand community so as not to leave anyone in need. Christmas presents, scholarships for orphans, support in rehabilitation and treatment - these are just some of the forms of help that the Foundation organizes, gathering around many people for whom helping others is a natural heart reflex - emphasizes Tomasz Zdzikot, president of the board of Poczta Polska.

"Postal gift" was also purchased by specialized medical equipment, the so -called Immune analyzer that went to the Regional Blood Donation and Blood Treatment Center in Bialystok. The Białystok analyzer is the only such device in the country that is in the possession of regional blood donation and blood -treatment centers. Supports patients and samples from blood donors from all over Poland. With the help of the analyzer, you can accurately determine the level of antibodies of anti-SARS-COV-IGA, anti-sars-Cov-IGG in blood plasma derived from the heaters and prepare the appropriate doses of the therapeutic plasma that will be intended for Covid-19 patients. RCKiK in Bialystok prepares such preparations for patients of infectious hospitals from all over the country. Treatment with plasma of heaters is a very promising method of treatment.

- The Foundation "Pocztowy Dar" could not help so many people were it not for its donors - employees of the employees who generously support all our initiatives, as well as people unrelated to the Polish Post. In addition to donations transferred by the post office and companies from the Poczta Polska Group, it is important to support both one -off shares and continuous, systematic help. We are very grateful for each of these people for a great heart and empathy- says Bogusława Kłoda-Dębska, president of the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation.
