The Poczta Polska Foundation collects 1.5% from tax and finances help for needy families

The Poczta Polska Foundation "Pocztowy Dar" was founded 14 years ago. Almost from the beginning of its activity, it has the status of a public benefit organization, and thus can be transferred to it 1.5% from tax. The Foundation allocates all the funds collected in this way to help with its pupils. In recent years, among others In this way, he finances support for families in a difficult life situation, conducted as part of the "postal star".

The charges of the Postal Foundation are children and youth, sick and disabled people as well as victims of natural disasters and disasters. "Postal gift" co -finances the purchase of medicines, medical equipment or rehabilitation, and also helps orphaned postal children, granting them social scholarships and postal families, which are in a difficult life situation, including for serious diseases. He also supports social projects, cooperates with organizations and institutions that help the needy, engages post -officers to help others through volunteering.

For many years, one of the foundation's flagship projects has been the "Postal Star" campaign, i.e. pre -Christmas help for postal families who are struggling with serious problems - their own, severe, chronic or incorrect illness or illness or disability of their loved ones. Every year before Christmas, the Foundation organizes material and financial assistance for them, provided for some time in the form of gift cards. Many years of experience have shown that this is the most convenient form of support for those in need.

Funds for the implementation of the "Postal Star" project come from 1.5% from the tax taken by the Foundation and payments of donors kept for this specific purpose. Last year, only 1.5% of the foundation collected 167 384 thousand. zloty. By adding funds from donations, "Postal gift" bought cards for nearly 170 families. A year earlier, the Foundation received about 190,000 from taxpayers. PLN, two years earlier - approx. 150 thousand PLN and nearly 500 families have received help as part of the "postal star" from the beginning of the project.

"Postal gift" helps not only postcards. Also involved, among others in the collection of gifts conducted in postal facilities. In 2023, articles with a total value of almost PLN 6 million . They went to the pupils of care and educational institutions, family orphanages, environmental clubs, hospices, social welfare homes, school and educational centers, as well as patients in cardiological, cardiac surgery, transplantological and families in difficult financial situation.

The Foundation obtains funds for its activities from several sources. In addition to payments from 1.5% from tax, he also receives donations from Poczta Polska and the Poczta Polska Group as well as from individual donors. Each month, the Foundation's account is credited to the amounts declared by Poczta Polska as part of the "Zloty from the salary" campaign (transferring a declared, specific amount from the salary to the statutory activities of the Foundation).
