The inauguration of the great sports holiday of Poczta Polska is on October 16! Participants will support the charges of the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation
Poczta Polska, together with partners from the company's capital group, invites all lovers of sport and a healthy lifestyle to participate in a virtual sports triad, which will take place on October 16–31 this year. After the success of last year's edition, in which runners measured (in the total number of nearly 1,500 people), the company is expanding the event frames to with new disciplines - march and cycling. The purpose of organizing this sporting initiative is to celebrate the next anniversary of the birth of the founder of Poczta Polska - King Zygmunt II August - and financial assistance to the Beneficiaries of the Foundation "Pocztowy Dar". Registration lasts until the last day of the struggle.
Virtual sports initiatives, initiated last year, is an alternative during Pandemia for the Polish Post Office running for many years. In 2020, the event organized so far only for employees replaced the open run for the first time, in which everyone could take part anywhere and at the distance of their choice (2 km, 5 km, 10 km or a cross -country triad). A total of nearly 1,500 people ran with Poczta Polska. This impressive number of participants of the event organized by the Company, places them at the top national leaders of the largest virtual runs organized in our country last year.
Drawing from positive, last year's experiences and listening to the voices of supporters of other popular sports, this year, Poczta Polska invites you to participate in a virtual sports triad in addition supporters of march and bike fans (and, as always, runners!). Each participant in the event will be able to choose the right distance for their condition and health capabilities - 2 km (run), 5 km (run, march), 10 km (run, march, cycling) or 15 km (cycling). Thanks to such flexibility, participation in a virtual sports triad can also be taken by people who practice sport amateur or occasionally, without fear of unpleasant consequences of exhausting effort. In three disciplines you can start at any distances or on a bonus distance: 5 km march - 10 km run - 15 km cycling.
The virtual sports triad will last two weeks - from 16 to 31 October . The event's partners are companies from the Poczta Polska Capital Group: Envelo, Postdata, Bank Pocztowy, Poczta Polska Dystrybucja and Pocztylion - Arka PTE.
The company's sporting initiative is one of the forms of celebration of the Postal Postpressor Day - 501 birthday of King Sigismund II August, whose figure is associated with the creation of Poczta Polska. Each participant of the triad will receive a commemorative medal with a set of gifts (including running scarf, philatelic publishing house, commemorative start number).
Importantly, as in last year, participants of the Virtual Sports Triad will support the charges of the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation (the amount of PLN 5, which will be used for charity from each purchased starter package). The money will go, among others to small, local sports clubs, which bring together young (and not only) talented sports lovers. The starter package depending on whether the participant will choose to participate in one discipline or in three costs PLN 49 or PLN 59. For an additional fee you can also buy a commemorative high -quality technical t -shirt.
Last year, nearly PLN 14,000 was collected from money from packages and individual payments from participants of the virtual run. The money went to two football clubs - the Lesznowola Sports Club (whose players lost training equipment in a magazine fire) and GKS Mazowsze (in a fire of the magazine, almost entirely sports equipment was burned down). The funds transferred by the "Postal Dar" Foundation were intended for the purchase of equipment and equipment necessary for training. Thanks to the participants of the Virtual Poczta Polska Run, children from the Dance Crew dance school in Bydgoszcz also managed to help. The building in which the youth trained was flooded. The funds transferred by the "Postal Dar" Foundation enabled the replacement of the dance floor in the exercise room and the purchase of sound equipment.
