Information on the use of the Netherlands name
According to the information received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we inform about the principles of applying the Netherlands.
The official name of the state "Kingdom of the Netherlands" has not been changed. In October 2019, the government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands decided to "rebranding" as part of a new tourist strategy calling Dutch institutions, universities, offices and embassies to use from January 1 this year. In foreign relations, only the English form of "The Netherlands". This decision is only an internal manual and was not associated with other countries to adapt to this change. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and central offices are obliged to apply official names.
