Postal card dedicated to the Polish Father Rock & Rolla
Poczta Polska introduced from the circulation a postcard of the issue "100. Anniversary of the birth of Franciszek Walicki - Polish Father Rock & Rolla. "
The author of the card project, Jarosław Ochandzan, in the illustration part placed a photo of Franciszek Walicki. In the upper right corner of the address page, however, a post fee sign was printed, on which graphics symbolizing the music band were placed.
Franciszek Walicki, pseud. Jacek Grań, was an outstanding composer and author of song texts - he wrote, including for: Czesław Niemen, Krzysztof Klenczon or Małgorzata Ostrowska. Heavily involved in journalistic activities, as well as in the development of Polish culture. Considered the Polish Father Rock & Rolla and Bigbit. In the 1950s, he actively participated in shaping the native jazz scene. He has been awarded many times, including the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta and the Righteous Medal among the Nations.
