stamp_43x31_25__plOn Monday, February 15 this year, the emission stamp "30. Anniversary of the creation of the Visegrad Group. " It is a joint publishing house of Poczta Polska and Poczta Czechs, Slovakia and Hungary. The value goes into the hands of clients and philatelists during the presidency of our country in the Visegrad Group (V4), which Poland covered in July 2020.

The author of the project, Agnieszka Sobczyńska, presented the number "30" on the stamp, directly referring to the anniversary of the creation of the Visegrad Group and the arrangement of four blocks following in one direction, which symbolize separate, independent four countries forming a community of nations. In addition to the stamp, Poczta Polska has published, in a limited version, the FDC envelope, i.e. an envelope on the first day of circulation. It shows flags of countries from the group and the logo of the Polish Presidency in V4.

- The geopolitical situation in the Central Europe region has never been one -dimensional. Already in the Middle Ages, the monarchs organized a congress in Visegrad, where they reached agreements on the policy pursued in the region. Current cooperation under V4 shows that thanks to effective political or economic activities, the voice of the Visegrad Group countries is becoming stronger in Europe. Our company captures the events of 30 years ago on the postal stamp, when the Visegrad Group was created - comments Tomasz Zdzikot, President of the Board of Poczta Polska.

- Philatelist emission, honoring the anniversary of the creation of the Visegrad Group, coincides with Polish leadership in V4. For Poczta Polska, it is not without significance that the joint publishing house of all groups of the group was established in the Polish designer studio and was accepted by other V4 postal operators. In this project, we express not only common goals, aspirations and efforts, but also a good summary of previous achievements in neighborly cooperation - says Wiesław Włodek, vice president of the board of Poczta Polska.

The Visegrad Group is an informal regional form of cooperation between four countries of Central Europe - Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, which connects not only the neighborhood and similar geopolitical conditions, but above all common history, tradition, culture and values. The idea of creating a V4 was the intensification of cooperation in the construction of democratic state structures and free market economy, and in the further perspective participation in the process of European integration.

-During the presidency, Poland is seeking that the joint and several activities of the Visegrad Group countries be successful in the Covid-19 pandemic fight and its effects, that interpersonal relations strengthen the societies of our countries also through the implementation of joint projects. An example of a common postage stamp is one of the many possibilities to combine the potential of our nations and is a great opportunity to promote what combines and leads to integration through dialogue and mutual understanding - emphasized Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk, deputy minister of foreign affairs.
