Miron Białoszewski - a new philatelic emission
June 30 this year. Poczta Polska introduces a postage stamp commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Miron Białoszewski - a poet, prose writer, playwright and theater actor.
Miron Białoszewski, whose work has permanently entered in the history of Polish culture, is the explorer of new forms in lyrics, prose, theater creativity and a careful observer of everyday life. In his works he went beyond the boundaries of the adopted literary language and broke schematism. His interest aroused derailed speech, tongues, random coincidences of language circumstances. He also referred to the colloquial and childhood. The artist's most important works include volumes of poems "Turns of things" and "misleading" and written by the prose "Diary from the Warsaw Uprising". For the latter he received the City of Warsaw Award and the Award of the Minister of Culture and 2nd Art.
In addition to writing, the artist also dealt with acting in the theater. In 1955, together with Lech Emfazy Stefański and Bogusław Choiński, he founded his own amateur "Theater at Tarczyńska". After his collapse, the writer opened in his apartment "a separate theater", which survived until 1963. The most famous pieces played in them include "Crusades" and "Osmędzeusze".
A photographic portrait of Miron Białoszewski is presented on the Polish postal stamp broadcast by Poczta. On the FDC envelope there is a photo of the artist taken during one of the performances of the "separate theater" and a quote - the poet's words about his experiments with the spoken and written word. The daddy graphic has a slotted spoon - one of the everyday objects praised by Białoszewski, which take up a lot of space in his poetic work.
Typography used on the stamp and envelope refers to handwritten writing and a trace left by the brush during painting (expressive drawings with a brush, later cut out in the cardboard, were a permanent element of the scenery in Miron Białoszewski's performances). There are also colorful dots on them, telling us that we are dealing with a colorful figure, not part of the poet's pathetic archetype, and indicate the element of games and fun, present in the creative method of Białoszewski.
The stamp with the image of Miron Białoszewski is another issue of Polish Post Office commemorating outstanding figures from the world of literature. Only recently the broadcast of "200th anniversary of the birth of Cyprian Kamil Norwid", "100. anniversary of the birth of Stanisław Lem "or" 100. Anniversary of the birth of Leopold Tyrmand. "
