The countdown continues. Last days of postage stamps on registered lists

1190-670 (1)April is the last month with a fee in the form of a postage stamp on registered correspondence. From May 1 this year. Customers will be able to use a new solution in the scope of shipping letters registered in national and foreign trading. In a place previously reserved for the postage stamp, a new "R" sticker will be placed, on which the amount of the fee for the letter will be included. Traditional postage stamps will remain in circulation as a form of fee only for sending unregistered letters, i.e. "Ordinary".

The solution will improve the rules of broadcasting and at the same time standardize the forms of the fee in the scope of all registered shipments. Registered lists will not have stamps, as in the case of packages and courier shipments, the fee for them will be made in cash or a payment instrument. The process will speed up customer service in post offices. It is enough for the customer to fill out the confirmation of the posting and transferred the parcel to the post employee. Confirmation of paying the fee for the letter will be applied by an employee on the Retopka R.

Changes in the provisions of the provision of services were introduced by Poczta Polska in May 2020. The company provided for an eight -month transition period at that time, marking on February 1, 2021 as the date of their implementation.

However, taking into account the numerous requests of customers who purchased larger amounts of stamps and wanted to use them as a fee for sending correspondence, the company made the final decision to extend the date of introduction to the change until May 1, 2021.

The solution will therefore come into force after almost a year from the first announcement and multiple communication in the media.

Currently, registered lists constitute up to 1/3 of the volume of parcels of the entire letter correspondence served by postcards. It is worth noting that for contractual customers, Poczta Polska has long provided the option of sending correspondence without a stamp, which has undoubted impact on improving the logistics process related to the preparation and shipping of such correspondence. Registered lists are shipments recorded at the stage of posting and delivery. This means that the customer receives confirmation of sending such a parcel and can track in the monitoring system when it has been delivered.

Customers have at their disposal two formulas for shipping registered correspondence:

  • priority - with the expected date of the service on the next business day after the date of posting, provided that the letter is awarded by 15:00,
  • economic - with the expected date of the service within 3 business days, after the date of broadcast.

In addition, customers can use the option of confirmation of receipt in paper form or for courts and other contractual customers - electronic.

The postage stamps still remain a form of a fee for shipping unregistered letters.

Poczta Polska also remains the publisher of philatelic items for hobbyists from Poland and the whole world, made available, among others thanks to subscriptions in the online store .

In the near future are planned, among others Emission of stamps: "Useful insects", "European Team Championships in Silesia 2021 athletics", "Silesian Uprising".
