We warn against new fraud attempts and phishing campaigns

phiszing fraudCybercriminals do not stop in activities that are aimed at extorting money from clients of Poczta Polska. In recent days, clients' attacks have been repeated. The perpetrators impersonate the mail in sent SMSs, in which they inform about the need to pay an additional payment to the expected alleged shipment. In another variant of the scam, fraudsters call post offices to get their address also on the pretext awaiting delivery. They are looking for address data information about valuable items. Please be careful.

Implaging to the Polish Post Office in SMSs addressed to our clients has become a new kind of fraud. The crime consists in sending SMSs to potential clients of Poczta Polska, informing them that it is necessary to make an additional payment for the shipment they are waiting for. Meanwhile, the attached link takes to the forged website, pretending to be Poczta Polska. The loss of a small amount of money resulting from the subsidy is not the most severe, it may be much more painful to transfer data to fraudsters, on the basis of which they can lead to theft of funds from the account.

Criminals also try to modify the "granddaughter" fraud method, this time they pretend to be a post office and call with information about the parcel waiting for delivery. They try to extort address details from customers. Then a fraudster calling as a police officer racing a cheater from the package and asks about valuable things in the apartment is called the same people.

We appeal to customers for vigilance. The message with a subsidy (especially in a currency than PLN) for the shipment is not used by Poczta Polska and this message is most likely false. It is worth paying attention to the sloppy spelling or errors in the spelling of words on the fraudsters' website. Personal data should not be provided and any money should be transferred as a result of the described contacts with strangers. Do not click on the links attached to the unknown origin of SMSs. Similarly, you should behave in the case of e-mails that were used for similar crimes a little earlier
