Polish Post has prepared a real treat not only for philatelists. The latest philatelic publishing house - the first in the history of the company "Book of Postcards 2020" - goes to the hands of customers.
"Book of postcards 2020" is a collection of all postcards with a printed postmark sign, issued by Poczta Polska in 2020. The first publishing house of this type on the domestic market will see the light of day this year and is a response to the expectations of clients and lovers of philatelic values who wanted to enrich their collections with a collection of postcards.
Modeled on the Layout "Books of Postage Stamps 2020" is to create a set of philatelic publications of Poczta Polska from 2020. According to experts, both books are very consistent with each other. The differences can be seen only in the volume and format - "KKP 2020" is a bit thinner, but wider than its "marriage" sister.
The Polish Post Office has been proud and humble for 463 years to serve Polish society, and from 162 he does it in a special way - through its philatelic publishing houses. "Book of Postal Cards 2020" is the latest child of the company, which - the intention of its authors - is to stimulate thinking, move, teach and maintain the memory of the most outstanding Poles and the most important events in the history of our country.
"KKP 2020" shows cards dedicated to anniversary of historical events, honors characters particularly distinguished for Poland and the world, introduces the important problems of the present time. Particularly noteworthy are the items relating to the history of Poland: "The 100th anniversary of the return of Toruń to Free Poland", "100. Anniversary of the Battle of Komarów "or" December '70. Cards honoring outstanding Poles: "The Day of Remembrance about Major Hubal", "Stanisław Tadeusz Srzednicki h. Pomian - creator of the judiciary in reborn Poland", "The first Lady of the Order of Virtuti Militari in the Second Polish Republic - Teresa Grodzińska" are a great example of completing the educational mission of Poczta Polska. Positions such as the "International Year of Plant Health" indicate the need to raise public awareness in terms of the importance and impact of plants' health on the issues of hunger, poverty and food safety.
This is a unique philatelic publishing house - in a numbered, limited version of 100 copies - on 54 pages it presents 23 issues shown on 27 cards with a printed postmark sign. Each issue is also accompanied by a date stamp.
