Post offices have started distributing the autumn offer of subsidized agricultural insurance

Postal Mutual Insurance Company began selling an insurance offer of agricultural crops covered by subsidies from the state budget. Agricultural producers can count on maximum payments up to 65% of the premium. This year, insurance companies have a larger pool of funds than before. The distribution of PTUW insurance products takes place through the network of Poczta Polska.

Dedicated agricultural insurance "Safe crops" and "Safe animals" are available in the wide network of Poczta Polska. Farmers can easily, quickly and close to home, can ensure that they protect their crops and farm animals, also from the effects of winter.

In 2021, pursuant to the Regulation of the Council of Ministers, subsidies from the state budget for insurance premiums will be entitled to agricultural producers of up to 65% of the premium. The policyholder pays the premium reduced by the amount of payment. Contracts of subsidized agricultural crop insurance are concluded until the limit of subsidies for a given year is exhausted. Additional funds in the amount of PLN 500 million were allocated to the autumn crop insurance campaign. and the total pool is currently PLN 900 million. In 2022, subsidies will be PLN 1.42 billion.

The PTUW insurance product "Safe crops" provides agricultural producers protection in the event of random events arising following risks such as hail, negative effects of wintering, spring frosts, hurricane, carbon rain, lightning, Earth's observation, avalanche, flood, drought, fire (unnoticeed insurance). The scope of insurance has been prepared in three variants to choose from: Zima Zima Basic Package, Winter Package and the Winter Package.

This season, as part of the PTUW offer "Safe crops", you can insure:

  • winter cereals:
    • winter wheat,
    • winter barley,
    • winter triticale,
    • rye,
  • rape and rape
  • winter tip,
  • cereal mixes,

 and with the consent of the Society's headquarters:

  • planting trees and fruit shrubs,
  • cereal-rod mixtures,
  • Winter peas.

It is possible to supplement the above variants with additional voluntary fire insurance (applies to crops: cereals, rapeseed, rape and legumes).

As part of insurance, "Safe animals" insurance protection may be covered by farm animals such as: cattle, horses, sheep, goats, poultry, pigs.

Insurance, depending on the choice of the variant, provides protection from the risk of damage caused by: hurricane, flood, naval rain, hail, lightning, earth's observation, avalanche, slaughter of necessity made as a result of the abovementioned events, fire (insured, not applicable poultry), electric shock (insured insured, does not apply to poultry).

Since 2017, the subsidized agricultural insurance policies are a complement to a comprehensive offer for farmers in the network of postal facilities. In the autumn of 2020, the highest sales of products were recorded in the following voivodships: Warmian-Masurian, Greater Poland and Mazowieckie.

Polish
