Poczta Polska provides disinfectants for schools and kindergartens
Poczta Polska transports protection measures intended for educational institutions throughout the country. From March this year The company works for institutions fighting Pandemia. As part of the "Special Actions", the post office has already delivered disinfecting liquids to hospitals, clinics and for the police and border guards, and also created storage facilities for the Ministry of Health.
The distribution of funds to schools and kindergartens was implemented as a national pallet shipment. It consisted in collecting loads from two warehouses of the Material Reserve Agency, and then providing protection measures to poviat warehouses. About 1000 pallets with masks were transported, over 2,000 pallets with disinfection fluids, as well as over 350 full -time transports were carried out. The order was carried out by the postal only 7 business days.
- We implement "Special Actions" for the Ministry of Health during the epidemic period. At the end of the holiday, we received a huge and absolutely priority logistics task, which aimed to ensure the maximum safe return of children and young people to full -time education in educational institutions. Poczta Polska was obliged to provide protection measures intended for schools and kindergartens throughout Poland. We have done very well from this task once again - says Andrzej Bodziony, Vice President of the Board of Poczta Polska.
Shortly after securing educational institutions, on September 7 another distribution of protection measures and medical equipment for hospitals throughout the country began. The size of this order is about 2,500 loading units, 60 full -time courses and 1,500 pallets in a fine shipment. The service of this order took 3 days to postal. From September 10, the post office began another undertaking - direct delivery of medical equipment for about 300 hospitals.
Due to the scope of the Polish Post Office, the efficiency and extent of the logistics network, the National Operator is the only logistics entity able to carry out this type of task for public institutions. In connection with the current epidemic state, the post office - at the request of the Ministry of Health - transports and distributes personal protection measures to health care facilities and other entities indicated by the Ministry of Health.
