Polish Post and Naval Academy in Gdynia launched DBA studies
December 16 this year. Polish Post and Naval Academy have signed a cooperation agreement as part of launching the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) studies. The solemn conclusion of the agreement was attended by the president of the company Krzysztof Falkowski and the rector-commander of the Naval Academy, cadmium. prof. dr hab. Tomasz Szubrycht. He cares for cyber security management and digital services to deepen knowledge and expand the competence and skills of higher management, responsible for building the immunity of entities from the public, military and private sector to threats from cyberspace. Recruitment for studies has already begun.
The studies are taken to future or current managers, managers and people managing the activities of key service operators, entities constituting the critical infrastructure of the state as well as representatives of the central administration and services who have a professional title of master's degree in the Master of Business Administration.
- The diploma gives a competitive advantage and increases the value and attractiveness of its holder on the labor market. Threats in cyberspace are still evolving, which is why it is so important to constantly improve competences and develop skills to prevent and neutralize cybercriminals. Thanks to the partnership with the Naval Academy in Gdynia, listeners of studies will gain the opportunity to improve qualifications under the guidance of recognized experts and authorities in the field of cyber security. Poczta Polska will perform substantive supervision of studies as one of the companies with a strategic importance for the state, which are increasingly exposed to cyber criminals - said Poczta Polska, Krzysztof Falkowski.
- We are very happy that we will implement another project with Poczta Polska and we guarantee that our students will be familiar with the best practices regarding conducting research in a security science discipline. Our university has high competences in this respect, as evidenced by the receipt of the highest assessment in the process of evaluating scientific activities for 2017-2021. Substantive content provided during studies will allow students to start an independent scientific activity, the crowning of which will be able to obtain the doctoral degree. In my opinion, this degree will be very valuable, because in Poland the issues of cyber security management and digital services are dealt with by a small group of scientists- said the rector-commander of the Naval Academy, cadmium. prof. dr hab. Tomasz Szubrycht.
During the studies, classes were planned for the methodology of conducting scientific research, national security management, cyber security management and digital services. Knowledge will be transferred by highly qualified specialists, lecturers and practitioners specializing in the above issues. Theoretical classes will be conducted using the auditorium using various audiovisual techniques (in full -time or remote mode), while practical classes will be conducted based on cases, exercises and work in a computer laboratory. The condition for graduation is to meet all the requirements specified in the study program and prepare the final work in the form of a study containing the concept of a doctoral dissertation, whose issue covers the area of broadly understood national security, cyber security, digital services and is located in the discipline of security science. As part of the study of the study program, cooperation is also provided for the participant issuing a scientific publication in a reviewed scientific journal with at least national scientific.
Poczta Polska cooperates with the Naval Academy also with the Executive Master of Business Administration highly rated by listeners highlighted by students. The purpose of education in this field is to fill the gap associated with the deficit of experts in the field of cyber security, including those with management competences.
