Poczta Polska promotes sports activity. Participants of the Virtual Sports Triad 2021 covered the distance of almost 10 thousand. km
We already know official results! Poczta Polska, together with partners from the company's capital group, once again organized a virtual sports event for employees and their loved ones and supporters of the company - a virtual sports triad. The purpose of organizing this sporting initiative was to celebrate the next anniversary of the birth of the founder of Poczta Polska - King Zygmunt II August - and financial assistance for the beneficiaries of the Foundation "Pocztowy Dar" and local sports clubs. Participants of this year's edition bought a total of about 1,500 starter packages and competing in 3 disciplines (march, run, cycling), covered a total distance of almost 10,000 km.
This year's edition of the sports struggle of Poczta Polska was in a hybrid way. The Virtual Sports Triad inaugurated the run for the Polish Post Office, which took place on Saturday, October 16 in the picturesque Szymański Park in Warsaw. The competition took place within 3 different running distances (2 km, 5 km and 10 km) and in addition, another discipline was attached for the first time - a march at 2 and 5 km. This year's edition was attended by, among others Cadet from the Gdynia Naval Academy.
The run for the Poczta Polska Cup was connected to the picnic. The participants of the event were not only the postcards themselves, but also their families, friends and supporters. Among them were both running enthusiasts and lovers of active leisure. During the event there were also attractions for the youngest. Little athletes could take part in the "young postal run"-at a distance of 100 m, in two age categories-for children under 6 and 7-10 years old.
- Poczta Polska is once again the organizer of sports initiatives, through which he celebrates the anniversary of the birth of its founder - King Zygmunt II August. On this occasion, we also promote sports activity, because now, in a difficult period of Pandemia, taking care of health and immunity is a key issue for each of us - said Tomasz Zdzikot, president of the board of Poczta Polska.
- We are glad that this year's virtual sports triad encouraged to participate in the sports struggles not only of our employees and their families, but also a wide range of postal supporters. We count on the continuation of this trend in the coming years - added Andrzej Bodziony, vice president of the board of Poczta Polska.
As part of the main competition of the Virtual Sports Triad 2021, which took place from 16-31.10.2021, the competition took place in the disciplines: running, march, cycling, or was a combination of all from the abovementioned This year's Virtual Sports Triad, like all sporting events organized every year by Poczta Polska, was guided by a noble goal - funds from starter packages and individual payments will be allocated to help the charges of the "Postal Dar" Foundation. Through it, local sports clubs will receive help that will facilitate their functioning and training for small and slightly larger sports lovers.
