Poczta Polska develops international e-commerce by expanding cooperation with Cainiao Network
The Polish Post has concluded a contract with Cainiao Network (logistic arm of Alibaba Group) - one of the leading global logistics operators, which provides over 90% of orders from Aliexpress to Poland and in the world. This is the development of current cooperation with this supplier, ensuring efficient courier service of shipments, which volumes grow every year. Thanks to the signed agreement, Polish customers ordering goods from China will be able to receive a package after just 15 days after placing an order on a global sales platform, of which Poczta Polska ensures that the package will reach the customer's door after 2 days after it appeared in our country.
Customers ordering goods at Aliexpress, one of the largest sales platforms in the world, have been using the services of Poczta Polska for several years, thanks to which they receive shipments quickly, on time and delivery to any place in the country. Poczta Polska and Cainiao are constantly developing cooperation, improving the distribution of goods bought by Polish customers at global marketplaces.
The KEP shipping market (courier, express shipments and parcels) develops intensively, along with cross-border trade and growing interest among Poles not only Polish e-stores. The goods purchased in this way will be delivered to Polish recipients as Pocztex courier shipments.
- We are very happy to sign an agreement with Cainiao. It means strengthening cooperation between us. I would like to emphasize that one of the pillars of the new strategy of Poczta Polska is to increase the share in the KEP market, especially in the cross -border market. According to the assumptions adopted, our goal until 2024 is to double the company's revenues from courier shipments, taking into account the ECOMmerce sector in particular. The development of cooperation with key partners in this market, such as the Aliexpress or Cainiao Network platform, is one of the most important activities carried out by Poczta Polska in this area of business - says Tomasz Zdzikot, president of the board of Poczta Polska.
Poczta Polska has been cooperating with Cainiao since 2018, providing professional services to Polish clients of Aliexpress. Based on earlier very good experiences of cooperation between Poczta Polska and Cainiao, both companies signed another agreement for 2021/2022. Cooperation with the Alibaba Group is part of the strategic plans of Poczta Polska and will be developed in the future.
Poczta Polska is a key and only supplier in the Door-to-Door channel for the Aliexpress service, under which within 15 days of platform platform platform, the shipment will be delivered to the customer. Both companies also took steps to reduce CO2 emissions, seeking to consolidate many shipments addressed to one customer into combined packages.
The national postal operator is interested in cooperation with the largest global players on the e-commerce market, and the Cainiao agreement is another step towards the implementation of the new strategy of Poczta Polska, whose pillars are intensive development on the KEP market.
