- The history of Polish military aviation is full of heroic episodes. Our pilots played an invaluable role in the success of the Polish-Bolshevik war of 1920. They bravely faced the aggressor in 1939, inflicting significant losses to Germany. It was the Polish "Karaś" that was the first Allied aircraft to drop bombs on the Nazi machine of crime, on the second day of a barbaric attack on our homeland. Everyone has heard about the heroic deeds of Polish pilots during the Battle of Britain. We also proudly remember the success of Franciszek Żwirka and Stanisław Wigura, achieved during the International Air Competition in Berlin. Today, this great tradition is continued by the Air Force, constantly guarding the Polish airspace and supporting allies. We want to appreciate this service, which is why we dedicated our postcard to all our pilots - noted Wiesław Włodek, vice president of Poczta Polska.

In the illustration part of the card there is the image of pilot Franciszek Żwirka and air designer Stanisław Wigura in front of the RWD-6 aircraft and the name of the issue: "Polish Aviation Day". A plane RWD-6 in flight was placed along the upper edge. A card measuring 148 mm x 105 mm was printed unilaterally, offset technique, on a white cardboard and 5,000 pieces. In the upper right corner of the address page, a post fee sign was printed, on which the RWD-6 aircraft with SP-AHN registration signs was presented.
