Polish Post with a new philatelic emission "Postal Foundation Dar"

Foundation stampOn the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation, Poczta Polska will issue a philatelic emission, honoring charity activities implemented by the Foundation. During this time, it helped hundreds of people who needed support, focusing their activities on sick people who were in a difficult life situation, talented children and young people. During the Coronavirus epidemic, the Foundation intensified its activities by supporting postcards and medics.

On the circulation stamp "Postal Foundation Dar", artist artist Marzanna Dąbrowska presented the logotype of the foundation surrounded by ten golden hearts, symbolizing 10 years of its existence. The stamp with a denomination of PLN 4.10 will be available throughout the country on December 4, 2020.

- The existence of a corporate foundation in a company with this reach, capabilities and number of employees is not only a necessity of a moment, but also a need for a heart. Who, other than a company with over 460 years of response to the needs of customers, can understand more issues related to social responsibility of business. 10 years ago, Poczta Polska decided that it wants to support his employees and their families in the most difficult situations. We decided to invest in a young generation of Poles, giving them scholarships, support victims in random accidents and such in a difficult life situation, as well as those chronically ill. The latest philatelic emission is also the honor of the jubilee of our foundation, but also a nod and support for our pupils, scholarship holders and donors. I would like our stamp to be picked up as a symbol of the company's social care for its employees and their families, also in non -itized relations - says Wiesław Włodek, vice president of Poczta Polska.

The "Postal Dar" Foundation has been helping the needy for 10 years, involving, among others in helping employees of the Poczta Polska Group and their families. Christmas packages, scholarships for orphaned children, support in rehabilitation and treatment - these are just some of the forms of help organized by the Foundation. Support also includes people who, as a result of random events - fires, gas explosion or storms, sometimes lose all their life achievements. Thanks to the donations transmitted, it was also possible to implement the 6th edition of the scholarship program, in which 464 scholarship holders received educational scholarships. The Foundation also supports non -governmental organizations.

In connection with the ongoing epidemic, the Postal Foundation, thanks to the financial support of entities from the Poczta Polska group, created a special assistance fund for employees of the Poczta Polska Group and their families affected by Covid-19. In addition, she purchased specialized medical equipment, so -called Immune analyzer that went to the Regional Blood Donation and Blood Treatment Center in Bialystok. The Białystok analyzer is the only such device in the country that is in the possession of regional blood donation and blood -treatment centers. Supports patients and samples from blood donors from all over Poland.

This year's support was also supported by other medical institutions in Poland: the Poviat Hospital in Ryki, the Provincial Specialist Hospital Blessed Virgin Mary in Częstochowa, Zagłębie Oncology Center of the Specialist Hospital Sz. Starkiewicza in Dąbrowa Górnicza, the Provincial Multi -specialist Center of Oncology and Traumatology M. Copernicus in Łódź, the University Clinical Hospital Józef Polikarp Brudzinski in Warsaw, the Independent Public Health Care Center Doctor Kazimierz Hołoga in Nowy Tomyśl and the Independent Public Health Care Team - the Poviat Hospital Polish Red Cross in Nisko.

The funds transferred were allocated to the purchase of, among others: infusion and nutritional pumps, laboratory equipment for analyzing coronavirus, an ambulance defibrillator, a driving system for the insulation chamber for transporting patients and personal protection measures for medical staff and patients. Some of these things will not only serve patients with Covid19. For many years, equipment purchased thanks to the "postal gift" will be able to serve hospitals and their patients.

- We established a corporate foundation, which has been helping people for 10 years in the most difficult moments and when they want to develop their wings. I am glad that we have so many pupils whose smile is the biggest reward for help. It would not be possible without support and help from our Foundation's friends, for which we constantly thank. Also today we declare that we will support the sick and victims, we will help survive the most difficult life situations of postal families and develop sports talents of gifted youth. We will not forget about seniors and lonely people -says Agnieszka Kłoda-Dębska, president of the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation.

Recently, Poczta Polska organized a nationwide and open virtual run of Poczta Polska for the first time in its history. This event was also an opportunity to support the charges of the Postal Dar Foundation. Thanks to this, the Foundation's account has paid almost 14 thousand. PLN. This money will entirely serve to promote sports activity among children and young people, counteract social exclusion and support young sports talents. Funds obtained in this way will support, among others for the Dance Foundation, the Lesznowola Sports Club and the Grójecki Sports Club Mazowsze.
