Poczta Polska entered into an agreement with the Activation Foundation

The increase in employment of people with disabilities is one of the strategic goals of Poczta Polska for 2020–2024. The company has concluded an agreement with the Activation Foundation under the PFRON PRADE-INTEGRATION Foundation. Recruitments have started all over Poland.

The postal operator in the amended strategy has planned several key activities in the field of social business responsibility. In addition to pro -ecological initiatives, one of the fields is to further increase the employment of disabled people in various positions in the company.

Since July 2018, Poczta Polska has been implementing a "policy of employing people with disabilities", which is based on several assumptions. The most important of them is to take into account social and environmental factors in the recruitment process, in addition to the economic dimension.

The foundation not only provides recruitment of such people, but also the professional preparation of candidates. In addition to recruiters, professional advisers, psychologists and JOB crafters are involved in the implementation of the project, whose task is, among others monitoring the employment of a candidate in the first period of work. In addition to looking for candidates, the Foundation also supports post office in education on the management of people with disabilities, conducts training for managers, teaching how to understand disability in the context of employment, the rules of savoir-vivre in contact with people with various disabilities.

As part of the work - integration of the PFRON organized by PFRON, Polish Post from March 2018 to December 2019 employed 411 people. In the vast majority, new employees became postmen (182), customer service employees (106) and went to the parcel sorting plant (66). This year, it is planned to employ another 360 candidates in cooperation with this foundation.

Over the past five years, employment in the post office with disabilities has increased by nearly 1,000 people. At the end of December 2014, their employment rate in the company was 1.03%. At the end of 2019, 1,810 people with disabilities worked in the company, and the employment rate of such employees was 2.22%. In 2019, Poczta Polska received the title of employer trustworthy in the Disabled Friendly Company category.
