Polish stamp with Rys, appreciated in another prestigious international competition

The Polish stamp with the Eurasian emissions "Europe" from 2021 was awarded in the next prestigious competition. The value of the post office triumphed in the "Environmental Protection" category in the International Philatelic Art Competition in the Italian Asiago.

Premio internazionale d'Arte filatelic - so -called Philatelic Oskary - is one of the most important philatelic trophies that can already boast of a half -century tradition. It is not surprising, therefore, that all forms of appreciation during the final gala are a great distinction. The postage stamp by the Polish graphic artist Bożydar Grozdeva was appreciated in the "Environmental Protection" category for "the clarity of the message of the stamp published in a series devoted to endangered animals, in which the lynx is becoming more transparent, until the final disappearance."

July 17 this year In Italian Asiago, thanking Mariusz Dawid on behalf of Poczta Polska, deputy director of the International Cooperation and Philately Office - he emphasized that the lynx presented on the postage stamp is a symbolic expression of Poland's care for all animals and plants threatened with extinction. The company's representative pointed out that last year's Polish issue - implemented with 60 countries associated in Posteurop - was also very well received in the association's competition and obtained the first prize by a voting majority of votes, both collectors of the "Europe" series from around the world, representatives of 60 postal administrations, as well as the international expert jury.

- The distinction that happened to us this year in Asiago is particularly valuable to us, because the stamp itself brings a unique message. It is to sensitize to the natural environment changing under the influence, indicate the need to protect species that die before our eyes, but above all it is to teach our youngest that without care for nature will not be a good future for them. Such a vision turned out to be very clear also for the Italian jury. I must admit that pride is bursting with us, because this is another award for this particular stamp, and this means not only prestige for our company, but also the promotion of Polish philatelic abroad - says Tomasz Zdzikot, president of the board of Poczta Polska.

The International Philatelic Art Competition in Asiago is one of the most prestigious philatelic competitions in the world. The jury consists of the most outstanding specialists of Italian culture, art and science - professors, artists, writers, inventors, businessmen - the competition has no sponsor, which has been guaranteed by the independence of judgment and choice for years. The competition is patronized by the President of the Italian Republic, which testifies to the level and professionalism of both jury members and reported philatelic emissions.
