We gave the army and the services guarding the Polish-Belarusian border to thank Poles as part of the #Murmzapolskimun region campaign
In all Poczta Polska outlets throughout the country, you can convey cards with support and appreciation for soldiers of the Polish Army as well as Border Guard and Police officers who have been serving on the Polish-Belarusian border for weeks. The solemn transfer of those collected so far, several thousand works, took place on December 4 in Biała Podlaska, where one of the garrisons of the 18th Mechanized Division operated, created by the decision of the Minister of National Defense of 2018 to defend the Eastern territory of the Republic of Poland.
The ceremony took place with the participation of General Jarosław Gromadziński, General of the Polish Army Division, Col. Łukasz Ćwik, Deputy Commander of the Border Guard Department, Dariusz Chmielowiec, Deputy Commander of the Provincial Police in Lublin and Tomasz Zdzikot, President of the Management Board of Poczta Polska.
- The action of passing through Poczta Polska thanks and words of appreciation to our soldiers and officers who serve on the eastern border of the country met with great interest. Good words come from all over Poland. There are both longer letters and classic greetings. Frequently moving artistic works created by children are also transmitted. I cordially encourage everyone who has not yet done so, but they would like to thank the soldiers and officers serving on the Polish-Belarusian border to deliver them free of charge with us. We will proudly pass them on, ensuring that they reach the border units efficiently and safely - said Tomasz Zdzikot, President of the Board of Poczta Polska.
From November 15, Poczta Polska joined the nationwide campaign of #Murekapolskimuvere, supporting uniformed services defending the borders of our country and guarding the security of all Poles. In just two weeks, thousands of works with evidence of gratitude of citizens came to 4,700 post offices.
- I would like to thank Poczta Polska for this important action. Today we received measurable evidence of sympathy and gratitude to uniformed services, including for us, for soldiers. This means a lot to us. Many of these cards are made with great commitment and heart - by hand, with a large amount of time. Thank you! We felt the support of society. First of all, thank you for Christmas cards now sent in the period preceding a special and important time. Cares in the sheets mean a lot to us - said Jarosław Gromadziński, general of the Polish Army Division.
- This action is very important to us. We especially thank children who have done so many works - noted Colonel Łukasz Ćwik, deputy commander of the Bug River Border Guard Department.
- On behalf of the police, thank you for these St. Nicholas' Day gifts in the form of appreciation. I am convinced that for thousands of policemen these words of support are important. Thank you to everyone who made these cards - said Dariusz Chmielowiec, deputy commander of the Provincial Police in Lublin.
It is worth recalling that in the windows of each post office and branches throughout the country you can submit cards or hand-created works of any formats, with words of symbolic support, gratitude and thanks to the uniformed services for their devoted work on the Polish-Belarusian border. Poczta Polska also provides 20 post offices in the largest cities in Poland, where dedicated and specially marked containers for collected cards or laurels will be located. They will be delivered free of charge to border units.
Action rules:
· We don't stick the stamp on cards;
Instead of the address, enter the password: "border defenders";
· You can additionally indicate specific persons or the name of the units in which they serve, to whom we direct words of support;
· Let's not transfer parcels addressed or in closed envelopes, because such will not be delivered by the company as part of the shares;
· Cards or laurels should be given in a postal window in one of 4,700 post offices (offices or branches, but not in a postal agency) or thrown into a dedicated container.
