Pulse oximeters, i.e. information useful for Covid patients
Couriers of Poczta Polska have already provided a total of over 500,000 pulsoximeters, and 220 thousand devices have been returned. Appropriate and in accordance with the instructions for securing the device by the recipient making the refund is crucial to ensure full safety and smoothly continuing the service of the delivery program to the next, in need of Covid patients. Poczta Polska reminds that pulse oximeters are delivered only to those patients who are registered in the House program and who will be reported by the unit of the Ministry of Health, e.g. a GP.
The pulse oximeters distributed by the Polish Post Office takes place as part of the Home Medical Care Program implemented by the Ministry of Health (house www.gov.pl/dom ).
The House program is a remote monitoring system for the parameters of people infected with Covid-19, whose health allows you to insulate at home. It allows you to quickly detect patients who should be directed to hospital treatment due to the deterioration of health. As part of diagnostics, the level of saturation, i.e. oxygen, heart rate, temperature and disease symptoms is monitored. Patients receive pulse oximeters and also use the system to transfer and monitor data at the DOM Contact Center, through the Pulsocare application - additional information here .
Patients over 55 years of age who have received a positive result on Covid-19 are automatically covered by the DOM program. Pulsoximeters will be provided by the Polish Post Courier, immediately after receiving such a signal from the unit implementing the program within the Ministry of Health.
Patients who are under 55 years of age obtained a positive result on Covid-19 and observe the progressive deterioration of health-in order to use monitoring under the HOM program, they should complete the Pulsocare form . After registration, they will receive a confirmation of accession to the program and a pulse oximeter.
Detailed instructions for the use of pulse oximeter are supplied to each patient with the device. In a hermetic envelope, in which a pulse oximeter is wrapped, patients will find information and tips on the proper preparation of the device for a refund after the end of quarantine.
Poczta Polska, under an agreement with the Ministry of Health, carries out both service and pulsoximeters returns. Pulseximeters' service takes place by courier. In the scope of refunding the device, the ardent has one of the two possible options to choose from: perception by a courier or made available from February this year. Personal delivery of pulse oximeter to one of 4,600 branches, offices and branches of PP (excluding postal agencies).

Receipt of pulse oximeter, both by the Polish Post Courier and the employee of the facility to which the patient personally provides the device, occurs after confirming the correctness of the pulsoximeter packaging in accordance with the instructions. The appropriate behavior of the recipient performing the return is crucial to ensure full safety and smoothly continuing the service of the service to the next, in need of Covid patients.
Until now, as part of the contract with the Ministry of Health, Poczta Polska has already served Pond 500,000. pulsoximeters, and 220 thousand has been returned. The program costs are covered by the Ministry of Health. For the patient, delivery, use and monitoring, as well as the refund of the device is free.
