Feast of Territorial Defense Forces. Poczta Polska employs WOT soldiers and increases employees' defense skills
In 2022, Poczta Polska launched a program aimed at promoting commitment to state defense and security - "frame in the shoulder from WOT". The employees of the company who are also WOT soldiers can count on a number of benefits - two additional days off from work while maintaining remuneration, the right to additional absences at work, resulting from the performance of territorial military service, financing the Multisport sports card, insuring life on preferential terms and the possibility of participating in attractive training (Strzelecki, from the rules of providing first -time first aid, cyber security). Defense training in which they participate conduct, among others Experts of the Territorial Defense Forces Command.
Also in 2022, Polish Post and Territorial Defense Forces signed an agreement to strengthen the state's defense capabilities. One of its provisions was the organization of training for the company's employees and preparing them to support and cooperate with WOT.
- The number of postcards who join the WOT ranks is systematically growing. Among them are both women and men, representatives of various units of the company and professional groups. Poczta Polska as an entrepreneur with a special economic and defense importance supports and initiates activities aimed at increasing the defense skills of employees and awareness in this area- says Daniel Witowski, spokesman for Poczta Polska.
As part of the implementation of the provisions of the agreement with WOT, the company launched a voluntary, nationwide shooting program for employees - "Welcome with weapons", referring to historical traditions. In the interwar period, postal military adoption was carried out, thanks to which employees bravely defended Poczta Polska in Gdańsk in 1939. In the current training, you could get basic knowledge and skills in the use of weapons. Theoretical and practical classes were conducted under the guidance of qualified instructors. Over 750 employees of the company took part in it.
People who for various reasons did not take part in the training "Welcome with weapons" or want to improve their skills, including In the field, Poczta Polska invites you to participate in trainings conducted by experienced soldiers - the 4th edition of the trainings entitled "Train with the army - yourself and in the group." They prepare to support the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland during peace and crisis and to perform defense activities in a situation of threat to state security. Training, during which participants practice, among others Basics of shooting, melee, survival, military tactics, topics or first aid are carried out in many locations and dates. Applications of Poczta Polska employees are accepted by regional HR units. Training is very popular, not only among the employees of Poczta Polska.
Polish Poczta as the only postal operator with the status of an entrepreneur of special economic and defense importance and the designated operator implements, among others Tasks in the field of cooperation with the Military Field Post. The company also participates in the mobilization development of the Polish Armed Forces. As one of the key strategic state institution, during the war or a serious crisis, Poczta Polska is subject to militarization.
In 2021, Poczta Polska was honored with the title "WOT Friendly Employer" for its activities for WOT, in 2021. The victory in this competition is a kind of commitment for the company, not the culmination of already completed activities, being an inspiration to make further efforts to cooperate with territorial defense forces.
