We support the MON campaign on disinformation

MonPoczta Polska joined the information campaign run by the Ministry of National Defense. As part of the "Fighting disinformation" campaign, in about 4,700 postal facilities there will be posters and leaflets warning against dissemination of information that can threaten the security of Poland and Poles.

Disinformation is one of the dangerous tools, commonly used during the war in Ukraine. It consists not only in creating false information, but also in engaging social media users in their dissemination. Often - due to the lack of knowledge about disinformation mechanisms - they are completely unaware of this way.

Materials prepared by the Ministry of National Defense provide knowledge which information should not be particularly transferred and made public (including the army and military vehicles), what we should do to protect ourselves from false information and how to become immunized. At a time when information is also of great military importance, the use of advice to the Ministry of National Defense, recorded in the form of simple messages, can significantly increase the security of the country and each of the citizens.

Information about the "Fighting disinformation" campaign will be promoted in post offices (own facilities and their branches) in the form of posters and leaflets. The materials will be available in approx. 4,700 locations until the end of April this year.

-Poczta Polska, as an entity that is of particular importance in the state defense system (among others, it is the only postal operator about the status of an entrepreneur of particular economic and defense importance) has a special role in building state security, so important in the situation of war in Ukraine. Disinformation is a powerful tool used to mislead and cause anxiety and animosia. Providing materials in our network of institutions, visited every day by tens of thousands of people, can significantly affect the construction of social awareness about the fact that the great firepower has a false message - says Tomasz Zdzikot, president of the board of Poczta Polska.

As part of Solidarity with Ukraine, Poczta Polska - even before the start of the Ministry of National Defense campaign - publicized government messages among disinformation, published by the Government Security Center and the Government Information Center.

Poczta Polska systematically supports information actions organized by the state and its structures. The company was involved, among others in publicizing messages prepared by UOKiK ("Count and do not recover!" - an appeal for prudently making investment and financial decisions), the Polish center of the Safer Internet program (network security), police (fraud related to extorting money), PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowych SA ("Safe journey"). She also actively joined the #Murekapolskimun region and the promotion of the nationwide vaccination against Covid-19
