Its popularity is growing significantly in the pre -Christmas period - in December last year. The number of parcels received in Żabka increased by as much as 60% compared to November 2019. Therefore, in this exceptional period, the brand began working with Empik, expanding the network of order collection points with empik.com to with its stores throughout Poland. As part of a special offer, for anyone who will receive shopping from empik.com until December 22, a sweet surprise is waiting - Milka chocolate. At the same time, Żabka improves parcel reception service - the new functionality at Żappka Post allows them to be safe, contactless with a bar code.
According to the Gemius Polska report, "E-commerce in Poland 2020" in the country there are already over 28 million Internet users, as many as 73% of them were shopping online. We decide on them more and more willingly because they are comfortable and give more opportunities: selection, price comparison, availability of goods. However, our preferences change as to the collection of shipments: instead of ordering a home or work, we prefer parcel machines. We are also happy to use the possibility of convenient collection of shipments in the store closest to our house.
- In 2019, Żabka served over 12 million shipments. This interest is growing from month to month - only in the first quarter of this year. We noted by over 130% increase in the number of served packages year -on -year. Undoubtedly, this is related to the scale of our network - over 6,600 stores throughout Poland - and the active cooperation we run with online stores. Our analyzes show that over 5 million Poles are interested in receiving or sending a parcel in Żabka. Customers, valuing their time, appreciate the convenience and speed of receiving or giving the package during everyday shopping. In addition, a change in purchasing habits was forced by Pandemia all of us - currently we do shopping online more often, even in terms of which we bought in stationary stores until recently. For orders over PLN 40, for members of the free Empik Premium Free program, this form of delivery is available for free. At the same time, Żabka introduces another convenience in the ŻAPPKA mobile application - the possibility of picking up a shipment using a barcode. This is the same code that sellers are shown by customers collecting Żapps for purchases or using the Żappka Pay service. After scanning, the seller will give us our package. This means that we will no longer have to give the sellers of the parcel number or the PIN code, entitling it to receive it, which will significantly speed up the entire process.
To take advantage of the new functionality of Żappka Post, you should download the latest version of Żappka and complete the current phone number in it. From that moment, the user Żappki will receive notifications on the provided phone number about all shipments sent to Żabka stores.
Żappka is one of the most popular free mobile applications on the Polish market - it has already gathered over 3.5 million users. Since the end of May 2019, the application has been available to customers and is gaining new functionalities. It offers users special promotions for selected products and a dedicated offer created using artificial intelligence algorithms. The application also allows you to collect the so -called ŻApps, i.e. convertible points for prizes. Thanks to it, you can also easily locate the nearest Żabka store.
